Heartless Hunter

I learned that gothic romance with a side of witchcraft is not my genre.
Ciccarelli provides some razzle dazzle, enthusiastic heavy breathing, and a touch of evil throughout her novel.
We meet Rune the heroine of the tale. Alex aide -de-camp/protector/lover, Verity who is more (or less) than she appears and . . . Gideon. Ah yes Gideon of the evil turned from good, back to evil and around we go!
The pacing of the novel provides entertainment and slivers of excitement. However, it reads like warmed over ‘lust on a bun.’
I truly cannot share too much more without popping out spoilers. Suffice to say that if this is your kind of novel, the gothic breathy kind, do dive right into this novel. I give this a fractured three out of five stars.
